Sennen (One day Run and holiday)

Hi all

Back again, my blog is a bit like busses, youll get used to it, promise.

So June heralds the One day run, what is the One day One?  Well for those that dont know its a days Harley event which some friends of ours organised as a bit of an endurance ride.  The idea is at midsummer we set off  from Lowerstoft at sunrise and get to Landsend by sundown.  Inbetween we stop at all the riders and have a stamp on a passport designed for the ride.  If you get all the stamps you get a t shirt and a badge.  Now on the design of the badge is a rainbow and the organisers are doing it til the last colour, which sadly will be next year.  I havent done the ride myself but hubby has.  When one of the organisers had a have a hip replacement we said we would do the marshalling at Landsend.  It was then we decided we would make a weeks holiday of it and do it in the car so I could come to the event too.  so after the weekend we went to Hayle until the Friday and had a brilliant time dispite the weater being a bit unpredictable.  Enjoy the photos
The first few bikes to arrive at Landsend, there were 66 people in all that made the ride.

Brownsea Island

Hi all

Yes its been a while, I am so bad at remembering to do posts, I will get better.  Well as a belated birthday treat, a few weeks ago we went to Brownsea Island.  ITs somewhere I have always wanted to go and never got round to it.  We dont live that far from it, its typical isnt it, somewhere local and we never go.  We had a fabulous day, the only thing we forgot was that it was half term and as Brownsea Island was the founder of the Cubs, there were lots of activities but it was still lovely.  We saw a red squirrel, within minutes of our arrival, it was pointed out to us.  I did get some photos but not very good, he was far too quick. You can just make him out.

The fungi on the tree and the photo on the right explains about it.

Beautiful place, we shall definitely go back there
